Pictured above and to the far right is Local History librarian Brad C. Shupe. He is standing with members of the Holiday Beach Property Association and Mastic Peninsula Historical Society on the morning of November 14th to celebrate the installation of the latest historic marker sign he obtained, recognizing the circa 1898 Masury Ballroom (pictured below) located in Moriches. Brad continues to do research every year so that he can obtain grant funding for these beautiful signs that bring recognition to our area’s historic places. Brad has told us to stay tuned as he has completed and received yet another grant award for a sign which should arrive and be placed Spring of 2021.
