Community Family Literacy Project, Inc. (CFLP) is a 501c3 organization that provides services through the Mastics-Moriches- Shirley Community Library’s Literacy department. We believe that education empowers individuals, families, and communities!

CFLP supports our community by providing:
- Scholarships to adult library users who are studying to pass the United States Naturalization exam. An application to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services cost $725.
- Scholarships to graduating seniors from William Floyd High School
- Books for the “Read Out and Read” program at the HRHCare Marilyn Shellabarger Health Center in Shirley
