CALLING ALL CRYSTAL LOVERS!
Happy August! To celebrate the month of August, we present Carnelian, a fiery and vibrant stone perfect to reign in one of the hottest months of the year.

Although Carnelian can be found all over the world, most of its mineral deposits are in various areas of India. It is also mined in some areas of Brazil and Madagascar. Carnelian is known for its bright red hue, often having bands of white quartz and white chalcedony running throughout, creating a unique band-like pattern. The mixture of these colors often creates color variants of carnelian that include pink and off-white hues!
According to the Internation Gemstone Society, carnelian is said to encompass the powers of luck, health, and royalty. Carnelian has always been a very popular stone for jewelry; since ancient times, carnelian has been a stone historically worn by kings. 18th century English and French royal courts used symbolic “gem language” to discreetly display messages. With the correct placement of carnelian stones within a brooch, a king could discreetly wish those in his court “good luck” or similar affirmations.
Arab traditions link carnelian to be a stone of fire, lending help to those speaking publicly to be brave and full of self-confidence. In Egypt, people wear carnelian to ward off evil and protect their spirits. In the end, if you’re looking for a crystal to bring you luck, confidence, and a little bit of fiery-brightness, carnelian is the stone for you!!
