Calling all Crystal Lovers!!!!

Happy first days of Summer, MMSCL!

This month and all summer we celebrate with Larvikite, a crystal mined primarily out of a town that provides its namesake – Larvik, Norway! Here, Larvikite is mined out of large quarries and shipped all over the world.

Larvikite, although primarily gray and lacking color tones, is known for its “labradorescence” otherwise known as the blue sheen seen in the crystal when it’s moved from side to side or held in the sun. The labradorescence of Larvikite is typically blue in sheen, and can sometimes be shades of teal or blue-green. This incredible color sheen is only seen in a few crystals existing in the world – Labradorite, Larvikite, and Spectrolite, making it a very special feature!

Larvikite is a crystal that is said to keep you in tune with nature. Just as water flows through a riverbank, this crystal helps you to escape problems or cleanse them away, encouraging you not to struggle against the tide or resist any forms of change. Embrace the new, expand your horizons, and enhance your mental capacity to do new things. Larvikite is meant to help you access innermost strength, ensuring that you are aware of all you can handle in times of uncertainty.

Larvikite is perfect to take with you on all of your summer adventures. It instills awareness and strength through all adversity. And if you love nature, this is the stone for you to enhance those feelings of being one with the trees on a nature walk, moving with the breeze at the beach, or even the peace of sitting in a lawn chair in your own backyard listening to the birds on a quiet Sunday morning.
