This program is intended for adults age 18 and older.
Mark Vosburgh, certified Master Food Preserver and winner of Best in Show at many agricultural fairs in the northeast, will share his insights on home canning. His presentation will include a history of canning, general principles of safe food handling, equipment used, food preparation and water bath and pressure cooking methods. After the basics, the general focus will be on canning jams and jellies.
To insure that as many adults as possible are able to attend our programs, spots are guaranteed for those who are registered and arrive promptly. A waiting list is used to fill cancellations before a program begins or for no-shows the day of a program. This does not apply to fee based programs.
