This treasured piece of music has been used to teach young people the instruments of the orchestra. Peter and the Wolf was written and composed by Sergi Prokofiev. The ballet is presented with the narration, so children will experience both the classical dance and orchestral music. The bird: flute , The duck: oboe , The cat: clarinet , The wolf: French horn, The grandfather: bassoon Peter, who lives with his grandfather, grandfather, goes off into the woods. There, he befriends a bird, a duck, and a cat. They all play together until his grandfather comes to warn him to beware of the wolf!! This is when Peter\\\'s adventure begins. Ballet Long Island is a professional ballet company established in 1985. Their services include performances, arts in education programs, an apprentice program, choreography, master classes and workshops. Ballet LI’s repertoire includes – The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Snow White, The Sleeping Beauty, The Fantastic Toyshop, Beauty & the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Swan Lake Act II, Multicultural Celebration, Le Corsaire pas de deux, Don Quixote pas de deux and original ballets choreographed for our company.
