Learn how to set healthy boundaries, how to discipline without punishment and how to treat your children with respect so that they will respect you. The Positive Parenting class takes the best skills from state of the art parenting programs together with the latest research on parenting techniques and practices.


This six week course taught by Dr. Roberta Karant is both instructional and interactive. Sessions are designed for both mandated (certificate included) and non-mandated parents and works best with a diverse population so we can learn from one another.

This is a six session program:  June 14, 21, 28, July 5, 12, 19.

Learn how to set healthy boundaries, how to discipline without punishment and how to treat your children with respect so that they will respect you. The Positive Parenting class takes the best skills from state of the art parenting programs together with the latest research on parenting techniques and practices.


This six week course taught by Dr. Roberta Karant is both instructional and interactive. Sessions are designed for both mandated (certificate included) and non-mandated parents and works best with a diverse population so we can learn from one another.

Alzheimer's/Dementia Caregiver Support Group

Being the primary caregiver of a loved one can be emotionally draining and stressful. Why not give yourself some much needed time to connect with others who are in a similar situation? A representative from the Community Program Centers of Long Island will offer for caregivers of persons with Alzheimer's or a related dementia an opportunity to receive emotional and educational support.
Chair Yoga for Seniors

Battle of the Books
