Adult Day Care Services - Mastic Designed for the frail elderly who need assistance in the activities of daily living. Provides support services Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for the client and care giving families. Continental breakfast and hot lunch provided.
Bay Area Senior Nutrition Center and Meals on Wheels Provides seniors with a nutritious mid day meal and the opportunity to participate in a variety of recreational, social, and educational activities. Also provides meals on wheels for the homebound.
Kyle Sports for Special Needs Program MSC This is a sports based program designed for children age 5 and up with special needs and disabilities. The programs mission is to give our young athletes the beginning basics to participate in preparation for sports and developmental needs. Inclusion sports will offer socialization, interaction and peer unity in a team sport on their own individual level of participation.
Mastic Recreation Center Town offers a variety of activities to citizens of all ages, such as art classes, quilting, and ceramic classes. Facility is available evenings and Saturdays for non-profit community groups on a permit basis; and for weddings and parties. Activities and schedules vary. Call for information/schedule/fees.
South Haven Senior Citizens A group of socially active seniors meet every Monday at the Property Owners Building on Neighborhood Road. Social activities include trips, cards, coffee, lunch, etc.
St. George Seniors A wonderful social group that meets at the Property Owners on Wednesdays from 10:30 am - 3 pm. Cards are played after the meetings.
Suffolk County Police Athletic League, Inc. Provides organized sports program (40 sports) throughout Suffolk County for children 5-18 years of age. Offers low cost medical/liability insurance to outside sport groups. PAL operates sport camps including basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, golf, baseball, softball, etc. Financial aid to Explorers, DARE Program, Boy and Girl Scouts. Their 36 acre sports complex with 1200 seats (Field of Dreams) stadium located on Furrows Road in Holbrook offers baseball, football and lacrosse.
Wilderness Visitor Center at Fire Island National Seashore Provides interpretive programs and guided tours, educational programs, beachcombing, hiking, saltwater fishing, wildlife viewing, wilderness camping, waterfowl hunting.
William Floyd Project (YMCA Mastic) Offers a wide range of programs to youth and families of the community. Provides counseling to individuals age 5 to 21 years and their families, Youth and Government Teen Leadership Council, parenting education/training, summer employment program, anger management, and stress reduction exercise classes.
