Adult Education Program/William Floyd School District
Offers free courses in basic English and Math (ABE), Adult Guidance Service, ESL, Career Counseling, Safe Boating. Also offers courses in Foreign Language (American Sign Language - Beginner and Intermediate and Spanish), Computers, Dance, Music, Defensive Driving, Sports, Exercise, SAT Preparation. Course offerings vary per semester.
Community Library's Family Literacy Project, Inc.
A not-for-profit organization whose mission is to support and encourage family literacy. In addition to ongoing literacy based programs, the Community Library offers special grant funded programs. The Family Literacy Project, Inc. funds nationally recognized, proven programs such as: Parent/Child Home Program, Reach Out and Read, and English as a Second Language Family Literacy Component. Congressman Tim Bishop
Tim Bishop represents New York’s First Congressional District which spans the eastern end of Long Island from Smithtown to Montauk Point. A lifelong Long Islander, he is proud of his record of hard work and effective constituent service. He works seven days a week and has hosted more than 100 Town Hall meetings throughout his district. He was first elected to Congress in 2002, and has been re-elected by strong majorities ever since.
Family Service League
Family Service League is a not-for-profit, nationally accredited, non-sectarian human service agency. Services include counseling, family case management, information and referral, substance abuse treatment, and education and advocacy which promote and maintain positive family functioning.

Literacy Suffolk, Inc. Regional Office at the Community Library
The Community Library is a regional office for Literacy Suffolk, Inc. The office facilitates basic reading and English skills tutoring. District residents who have difficulty reading or for whom English is not their first language, may apply for private or small group tutoring through Literacy Suffolk, Inc.
SCORE - counselors to small business
The sole mission of SCORE is to serve our local business communities with pro-bono counseling that promotes successful new business startups and the success of existing small-medium size business. To accomplish this, we offer workshops, face-to-face, cyber and telephone counseling to assist clients with: preparation of business and marketing plans and documentation required for startup or operating capital. Existing businesses benefit from an assessment and recommendations regarding potential operational, marketing, financial, management and planning issues.
William Floyd Project (YMCA Mastic)
Offers a wide range of programs to youth and families of the community. Provides counseling to individuals age 5 to 21 years and their families, Youth and Government Teen Leadership Council, parenting education/training, summer employment program, anger management, and stress reduction exercise classes.
