What makes a bird a bird? Why do birds have feathers or lay eggs or have hollow bones? Find the answers to all these questions and see eggs hatch right before your eyes in our Discovery Center. This exhibit includes the hatching of chicks, their nesting habits, the study of a bird's ability to fly, and much more. Elementary school children can get hands on experience using a variety of tools, such as the computer and microscope. There are CD-ROMS, videos, websites and books that will help you learn all about birds.
