“IMPORTANT SUFFOLKWEB INFORMATION”

SuffolkWeb modems to be turned off December 31, 2007

The Suffolk Cooperative Library System will be ending the SuffolkWeb dial-in Internet service effective December 31, 2007

This change means that as of January 1, 2008 you will no longer be able to access the Internet by dialing into the SuffolkWeb system. We will continue to maintain and fully support SuffolkWeb email accounts. This change will not affect your ability to access the Internet at your public library.

If you have questions about this notice, SuffolkWeb or if you would like additional information about other regional Internet service providers please see our Frequently Asked Questions site at http://www.suffolk.lib.ny.us/das/index.htm or email us at dial@suffolk.lib.ny.us.

Hold Notices now available by E-Mail!

Community Library patrons that have provided the Library with an email address will now receive hold pick-up notices via e-mail. The notice will inform you that your requested material is on the holdshelf at the Library and ready for you to pick up.

If you would like to receive hold pick-up notices (or other courtesy notification regarding overdue materials) via email, just stop by the Circulation Desk and complete an Email Service Request Form.

Your email address will not be shared; it is strictly for Library notification services. By utilizing this service you take responsibility for checking your email. You will no longer receive notification via telephone or US Postal service. If your email server is not functioning properly, the notice(s) will be printed and mailed.
