Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk is an independently operated affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Habitat of Suffolk’s goal is to build an average of 12-15 houses annually, building for as long as needed to make sure every family in Suffolk County has a simple, decent, and affordable place to live and call home. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Volunteers ages 16 and 17 must have an adult accompany them on the worksite.

Sweetbriar Nature Center
Sweetbriar Nature Center is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide nature education and wildlife rehabilitation to the surrounding communities. Sweetbriar Nature Center is situated on a 55 acre nature preserve that has over 50 resident non-releasable animals, an enclosed butterfly gardens, river trails, formal gardens, a nature center, and museum that is open to the public daily throughout the year.
