Civic organizations include the William Floyd Community Summit, Inc., Montauk Highway Merchants Association, Moriches Bay Civic Association, Pattersquash Creek Civic Association, Smithpoint Peninsula Homeowner's Association, Chamber of Commerce of the Mastics and Shirley.
Congressman Tim Bishop
Tim Bishop represents New York’s First Congressional District which spans the eastern end of Long Island from Smithtown to Montauk Point. A lifelong Long Islander, he is proud of his record of hard work and effective constituent service. He works seven days a week and has hosted more than 100 Town Hall meetings throughout his district. He was first elected to Congress in 2002, and has been re-elected by strong majorities ever since.

League of Women Voters of Brookhaven
The LWV is a national organization with state, county, and local leagues throughout the 50 states. It is a non-partisan organization that encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
Manor Park Civic Association
The Manor Park Civic Association represents a geographic area that includes parts of Manorville, Mastic, Moriches and North Shirley, and addresses important community issues in our communties as well as surrounding areas.
Mastic Beach Property Owner's Association
Civic Association for Mastic Beach. Monthly meetings are held the first Thursday of the month at the clubhouse. Visitors are welcome, please see the website for additional information.
Mastic Beach Village Exploratory Committee
The MBVEC is pursuing the incorporation of Mastic Beach as a village for the purpose of giving the residents of Mastic Beach control of the destiny of their own community.
Pattersquash Creek Civic Association, Inc.
Pattersquash Creek Civic provides all residents of Mastic Beach and the Wm. Floyd community with opportunities to involve themselves in community affairs and to have a voice on community issues. Meetings are held the first Monday of the month at the Mastic Beach Fire Department at 7:00pm.
Smith Point Village Exploratory Committee
An incorporated village would allow the residents of Smith Point to take control of its own community and the quality of life issues we are facing. Code enforcement and absentee Landlords are just two examples why it would be beneficial to be a Village....Zoning issues, like 450 Unit Developments, would have to come through the Village for approval. We have become a dumping ground for sex offenders, sober houses and section 8 rentals by the Town of Brookhaven and the County. For our community, it is the only option left to stop the degeneration that is currently happening.
William Floyd Alumni Association
The William Floyd Alumni Association was founded in early 2008 by several alumni looking to reconnect with both former classmates and their alma mater.
