A not-for-profit organization established by the Mastics-Moriches-Shirley Community Library in 1991 that strives to bring a diverse performance series to the community. The goal of the Friends of the Arts is to make the arts accessible, affordable, and fun.
Girl Scouts of Service #48 - Part of Girl Scouts of Suffolk County
Service Unit #48 serves Mastic, Mastic Beach, Moriches, and Shirley (the William Floyd School District). Unit #48 has a membership of 300 girls and 100 leaders. Members are offered learning experiences and service projects that help them to grow culturally and socially.
Harbour Lights Painters
HLP promotes decorative painting by offering instruction and socializing opportunities for those who are interested in the field. We also do community service projects. Some of our past projects include painted placemats for Meals on Wheels, Treasure Boxes and cards for veterans and service personnel, painting with children via Childlife Program @ Stony Brook Hospital, Memory Boxes for local hospitals, etc.
Lynvet Football and Cheerleading
Instructional youth football (tackle) and cheerleading. Football: ages 5 years to 12 years. Cheerleading: ages 5 years to 14 years.
Mastic Recreation Center
Town offers a variety of activities to citizens of all ages, such as art classes, quilting, and ceramic classes. Facility is available evenings and Saturdays for non-profit community groups on a permit basis; and for weddings and parties. Activities and schedules vary. Call for information/schedule/fees.

Established in 1961, MSC has sports programs for Baseball, Softball and Soccer.
Michelle's Daycare
We provide a nurturing and caring environment for infants, toddlers, and pre-k children to learn and grow. Before and after care is also provided for school age children grades k-6. Circle time activities, story telling, arts/crafts, learning curriculum for pre-k program. Indoor/outdoor supervised play time weather permitting. We will provide an environment that encourages children to explore the world around them, build on strengths and weaknesses, socialization skills, fine motor and gross motor skills, helping children grow with a sense of discovery, strong self esteem, and confidence within themselves. Suffolk County Police Athletic League, Inc.
Provides organized sports program (40 sports) throughout Suffolk County for children 5-18 years of age. Offers low cost medical/liability insurance to outside sport groups. PAL operates sport camps including basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, golf, baseball, softball, etc. Financial aid to Explorers, DARE Program, Boy and Girl Scouts. Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge
Long Island National Wildlife Refuge Complex Visitor Center and Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge are open to the public, free of charge. William Floyd Project (YMCA Mastic)
Offers a wide range of programs to youth and families of the community. Provides counseling to individuals age 5 to 21 years and their families, Youth and Government Teen Leadership Council, parenting education/training, summer employment program, anger management, and stress reduction exercise classes.
